Katy Mullins, the franchise owner in Northeast Cleveland, shared some photos apply mosquito control services around Lake County.
Katy uses a nontoxic mosquito control treatment on the porches and around these ferns. Ferns provide a moist, shaded area that mosquitoes love. Located on the porch, these ferns are close to people. The eco-friendly treatment uses a blend of botanical ingredients that repels mosquitoes and does no harm to people, pets, and plants.
Mosquito Traps
The In2Care mosquito trap supports barrier spray treatments to provide maximum mosquito control. There are some areas like gutters we cannot reach with the barrier spray. Female mosquitoes lay their eggs in the In2Care. The larvicide exterminates the mosquito eggs. The larvicide also attaches to the female mosquito, and she transports the pesticide to other breeding sites thereby expanding the mosquito control.
Mosquito Control Water Treatments
Another big part of the day for Katy is water treatment. When possible she dumps out any standing water as it attracts mosquitoes and is often where you can find mosquito eggs on your property. In water features such as ponds or water fountains, Katy applies a water treatment to prevent mosquitoes from laying their eggs in the water.
